Robust, field proven technology

The pyrolysis tube technology was originally deployed in 2001 to process biomedical waste.

Multiple PyroVore pyrolysis plants have been operational for years on-board Royal Navy aircraft carriers processing a broad range of waste feedstocks.

A PyroVore commercial plant is installed in a UK-based carpet manufacturing plant processing 300 kg/hr of carpet waste.

Pyrolysis is an advanced conversion technologies” meaning gasification, pyrolysis, anaerobic digestion or any combination thereof.

  • Pyrolysis means, the thermal degradation of a substance in the absence of any oxidising agent (other than that which forms part of the substance itself) to produce a char and one or both of gas or liquid.
  • Gasification  means the sub stoichiometric oxidation or steam reformation of a substance to produce a gaseous mixture containing two or all of the following: oxides of carbon CO, methane CH4 and hydrogen H2.
  • Combustion is called a process in which all the above processes are involved and consequently stepped through. The end product of the combustion is heat and exhaust gases in the form of carbon dioxide CO2 and water vapor H2O, which are released into the atmosphere.
